A Bone Thug's outer skeleton forms a natural armor of hardened, bleached chitin. When not wearing armor, your AC equals 13 + your Dexterity modifier. If you wear armor, you lose this benefit.

You can make unarmed strikes using your jagged mandible or bony jaw. When you hit with an unarmed strike, you deal piercing damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength modifier. You are proficient with these attacks.

Bone Thugs are difficult to put down. When you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can drop to 1 hit point instead. Once you use this ability, you must finish a long rest before you can use it again.
