This sleek black pelt appears as though it was crafted from the fur of a Shadow Stalker, granting its wearer a sense of stealth and a connection to the mysterious night. While wearing the Whispering Pelt, you gain advantage on Stealth checks made in dim light or darkness. Additionally, once per long rest, you can use a bonus action to blend into shadows, becoming invisible until the start of your next turn; however, after this ability is used, you cannot benefit from it again until you finish a short rest.
Despite its advantages, the pelt imposes a slight downside: while wearing this pelt, you become increasingly aware of the darker impulses lurking within. At the end of each long rest, you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC 12) or feel a growing sense of paranoia, giving you disadvantage on Insight checks until your next long rest. On a failed save, you also experience vivid dreams of being hunted, giving you a state of fatigue by the next morning, causing you to have disadvantage on the first roll of any ability check that day until you take a short rest to shake it off.
